Eligibility

• Applicant must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

• Applicant must be a descendant from Vietnam.

• Applicant must be a rising college freshman/sophomore who is enrolled for Fall 2023.

• Applicant must have resided in either NC or SC for the past year

   • How would you use your education to help the Vietnamese community in the future?

   • How would you plan helping the Vietnamese community?

   • What changes would you make in the Vietnamese community if you could?

4. Community Engagement

   • Please describe/list your active involvement with the Vietnamese community in your area.

   • Please list other notable examples of community involvement or extracurriculars that don't involve the Vietnamese community.

   • Please list any notable academic achievements in the past 2 years.

5. Unofficial high school/college transcript(s)

6. Letter of Acceptance for Fall 2023 (rising first-year) or Proof of Registration for Fall 2023 (rising sophomore)

General Information

• Recipients are chosen based on a culmination of merit, financial need, and community involvement.

• Immediate family members of Vietnamese Association of Charlotte executive and oversight boards are not eligible to apply.
