The Charlotte Business Inclusion Office is excited to announce the kick off of the Contractor Development Program!
For most City construction projects, firms must be bonded in order to effectively compete and bid. Obtaining bonding for City construction projects has historically been a barrier to participation for small, minority and women owned firms. The City of Charlotte's Contractor Development Program is a comprehensive program to better prepare small, minority and women owned firms to compete on City projects. Resources include technical assistance, business development, financial guidance and assistance obtaining bonding for those who participate.
Join the kick off event and learn more about this Program and how to participate!
Refreshments will be provided; Parking information will be sent via email.

Additionally, we will be hosting three virtual vendor events in June. These events will discuss all of the CBI Program changes that will take place as of July 1st. Please encourage your vendors (MWSBEs, Primes and non-MWSBEs) to sign up for one of these events so that they will be aware of these changes and how it will apply to their bidding activities and contracts with the City.
